The Hopper Brothers started in their parents house. With the support of the sister they started. At some point they decided they nedded a piano player. They decided that Connie was the best idea. So Claude while working one day (at an A&P - grocery store) saw her at a stopped light. She of course agreed.
They would end up changing their name from 'The Hopper Brothers' to 'The Hopper Brothers & Connie'. Over the next few years Claude & Connie got married. The next year thay had their oldest Dean. Things would start to change a bit. As some of the brothers left the group & at age 7 Dean became the groups drummer. They started hiring people to sing & travel with them. In 1981 (early '82) the last of Claude's brothers left the group. The group would make a few more changes to accomidate the changes that accered. In 2007 they celebrated 50 years |
